I Love to Feel Comfortable – Asake Opens Up About His Face Tattoos

Nigerian musician Asake has finally addressed the buzz surrounding his boldface tattoos.

Speaking on the red carpet of the 67th Grammy Awards, Asake shared his thoughts on his personal style.

“For me, it’s about feeling comfortable in my own skin. This is how I feel now. I love to feel comfortable with myself, in the things that I feel are good for me – not about anybody else. I might wake up tomorrow and you guys may not see any tattoo on my face,” he said.

Asake, who was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the Grammys, also explained his outfit, saying he was in his “military era” and likes to dress exactly how he feels.

The 30-year-old singer’s appearance at the Grammys marked his first time attending the prestigious awards ceremony.

His compatriot, Tems, took home the award in his nominated category for her song “Love Me Jeje.”
