Hon Onwo Promises More Attentions To Human Capital Development
The Member Representing Isoko South 2 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Ferguson Onwo has promised to give more attention to human capital development in the constituency.
Speaking while playing host to delegation of PDP leaders and party faithfuls from Aviara Ward three, Isoko South local government area at the Assembly Complex, Asaba, Hon Onwo said such investments provide returns to the individual as well as the economy of the state.
The Lawmaker stated that he is very interested in capacity building where individual can be developed to be self-reliant and become employer of labour.
“When you focus on only infrastructures without ensuring that the people are empowered through skills to take care of their needs you will begin to encounter crises beyond control. Skills provide economic value since a knowledgeable workforce can lead to increased productivity.”
While thanking the delegation for the visit, Hon Onwo assured that Aviara community will be well represented in both infrastructural and human capital developments.
The Lawmaker who is the Chairman, House Committee on Housing and Women Development commended the people for their impressive performance during the last general elections.
Hon Onwo stated that their massive support and mobilization for PDP gave the Party the one hundred percent victory recorded by PDP candidates in the 2019 elections.
Earlier, Hon Oghale Ofremu, said the visit was to congratulate Hon Onwo on his election victory as well as to interact and share ideas on the way forward for the constituency.
He stressed that there was the need to strengthen the synergy existing between the people and the Lawmaker for a better service delivery.
The high point of the event was a vote of confidence on Hon Ferguson Onwo by the delegation.
Those who were part of the delegation from Aviara include, the Chairman, PDP Aviara Ward three, Mr. Omodero England, led the delegation which include, Hon Stephen Idume, Mrs. Afor Omero, Chief Ulebe and Hon Samson Ofremu.
Others were, Sir Uzih Ben, Dr. Erigi, Mr. Jackson Ureghe, Elder Collins Enigheno, Mr. Charles Jumbo amongst others.
