Guwor Lauds Otuaro On Daily Independent Newspapers Peace Ambassador Award
The Member Representing Warri South-West in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Emomotimi Guwor has described the Peace Ambassador Award conferred on the Deputy Governor of the State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro by Daily Independent Newspapers as well deserved.
Speaking with newsmen in his office in Asaba immediately after Tuesday’s plenary, Hon Guwor stated that the antecedents of Deacon Otuaro as the Chairman, Peace and Advocacy Committee set up by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2015 was a testimony to his efforts at ensuring sustainable peace in the Niger Delta.
The Lawmaker disclosed that in the heat of renewed crisis in the Niger Delta region, the Deputy Governor traversed the creeks of Delta State and beyond in search of peace, noting that his efforts brought stability in the riverine communities in the region.
Hon Guwor asserted that, that effort led to increase in Oil and Gas production, thereby enhancing the revenue earnings of Delta State and Nigeria as a nation.
He said the Deputy Governor was not relenting in that regards and commended the management of Daily Independent Newspapers for the recognition and award.
Hon Emomotimi Guwor on behalf of the people of Warri South-West, congratulated Deacon Otuaro for the award and urged him to remain a good ambassador of the constituency.
The Lawmaker pledged to continue to join forces with the Deputy Governor and other critical stakeholders to attract the dividends of democracy to Warri South West Constituency.
