Graphic photos: Dangote Truck Kills 7 Persons In Ihiala, Anambra State
Tragedy struck in Ihiala on Thursday, April 13, 2017 as a Dangote truck loaded with cement rammed into people around Total Filling Station killing over 20 persons at a spot and left many with serious injuries.
The Dangote truck fully loaded with cement inexplicably veered of the road and plunged inside the gutter close to First Bank.
Not less than 25 persons lost there lives in that ugly incident. the casualties were mostly hawkers ranging from young children hawking gala, pure water, aki n ukwa, chips to old women selling okpa bread and other varieties of goods and consumables.
It was gathered that the driver absconded and fled from the scene as soon as the incident happened.
There was wailing all over the place as people were running frantically trying to know if they could identify any of the casualties.
An ambulance conveyed the corpses to the nearby mortuary at our Lady of Lourdes Ihiala, Anambra state.
According to our sources, some of the victims are responding to treatment while some are still in critical condition.
