Governor Okowa Proceeds on 21 Days Vacation
The State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has proceeded on 21 days vacation beginning from Wednesday April 3, 2019 to Tuesday April 23, 2019.
The Governor in a letter to the Delta State House of Assembly titled “Notice of Vacation”, read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori during plenary, said the vacation will form part or his 2019 annual leave while the other part of the vacation will be enjoyed later in the year.
Okowa informed that the Deputy Governor Barrister Kingsley Otuaro will perform the duties of his office as governor in line with Section 190 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
Governor Okowa said he will resume his function as Governor on April 24, 2019.
The Majority Leader, Hon Tim Owhefere in a motion moved for the House to receive and accept the governor’s notice which was seconded by Hon Festus Okoh and was adopted.
