Governor Okowa has Surpassed His Predecessors – Nwoko

The Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa (Special Duties) on contributory health commission, Dr. Michael Nwoko has again stated that, his Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has so far surpassed his predecessors.

The Special Assistant made this known within the week in his regular media chat. He said by all standards, Our indefatigable Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has arguably surpassed his predecessors, judging by the level of success recorded so far just within a space of two years and some months even at a time, when revenue accruable to State was lowest in the State compared to what it used to be.

According to him, that His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa is able to pay workers salaries as and when due and effectively execute capital projects across the State when it is obvious there is paucity of funds is an indication that our amiable Governor is a good manager of resources.

He said as a result of the Governor’s tremendous achievements in road construction, rehabilitation, general infrastructure, human capital development and overall transformation of the entire state, he (Okowa) is now being referred to as the road master. It’s now a statement of fact that Deltans have been blessed with an indefatigable and action Governor in the person of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

He went further to enumerate some of recent laudable achievements of his Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to include; Free Medical screening for widow’s by Delta State Government in conjunction with the Delta State contributory health commission, which has so far registered over 5500 widows and many more are on the way.

The massive reconstruction of the Asaba international airport runway and completing of the water channels. With the level of work going at the airport, am very sure that commercial activities will take off in no time at the airport.

According to him, going by the level of work been witnessed within Asaba metropolis, his Excellency has already been unanimously endorsed for a second term.

Dr Nwoko said, Asaba being a State capital, has really not received adequate attention by previous administration, but Okowa has taken it upon himself to make a difference, not just in the State capital Asaba, but across the length and breath of the State with equitable distribution of developmental projects.

Going further, Dr. Nwoko said, that just recently, Gov. Okowa commissioned the Premium Steel Rolling Mill, formally known as Delta State Company (DSC) Aladja. He said, before now the establishment had been moribund, while many of our youth’s were wasting away in the streets as a result of inability to get Job’s, but with the resuscitation of the company, and with local content effective, a sizable number of youth’s within the region will surely be gainfully employed.

He therefore concluded by calling on Deltans from all walks of life to rally round the Governor and give him their full support as 2019 general elections draws closer in order to consolidate on the unprecedented achievements of our amiable Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
