Governor Oborevwori’s First Anniversary: DOPF Seeks MORE Democracy Dividends for Deltans

The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his one-year anniversary as the Governor of Delta State, acknowledging his notable achievements and efforts towards actualizing the M.O.R.E Agenda.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Emmanuel Enebeli, and Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, DOPF commended the Governor for his dedication to completing projects initiated by the previous government, demonstrating his belief in continuity and respect for ongoing developmental efforts.

However, DOPF urged Governor Oborevwori deliver MORE democracy dividends for Deltans and address pressing issues, including rising insecurity in rural areas, power challenges, overcrowding in the capital city, and the need for a comprehensive economic development plan.

The forum highlighted the importance of maintaining an open and cordial relationship with the media community, particularly online publishers, to foster a more informed and engaged populace.

As the Governor begins his second year in office, DOPF encourages him to build on his achievements and tackle the challenges facing the state with renewed vigor and determination. They emphasized that with sustained efforts, Delta State can become a model for development and progress in Nigeria.

The media professionals further urged the Governor to explore innovative solutions to address the state’s economic challenges, including the development of strategic partnerships and investments in key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and technology. By doing so, Delta State can unlock its full potential and provide a better future for its citizens.
