FUPRE VC Inaugurates Covid-19 Committee, Says No Nose Mask, No Entry Of School

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh has inaugurated Covid 19 Committee, saying that no face mask, no entry of the school.

The Vice Chancellor gave this order while inaugurating the Students Affairs and Staff Committees to sensitize the people on the best way to curb the excesses of the Covid-19 pandemic.

While charging both committees to be wary of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, Prof. Rim-Rukeh pointed out that the two committees are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring total compliance by staff and students at all times.

He said the decision of the school management is strictly in compliance of the second phase of the deadly disease, hence it became mandatory to all students and staff with stringent order of no nose mask, no entry of school, including their visitors.

The VC appealed to both committees not to compromise in carrying out the exercise, pointing out that if the order is strictly adhered to without sentiment, that no doubt, the scourge will dropped drastically and will be controlled.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Professor Onosemuode Christopher who spoke on behalf of both committees, assured the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rim-Rukeh and the school management that the committee will carry out their assignment to the best of their knowledge.

The chairman while thanking the Vice Chancellor for this onerous task, said with total compliance they can fight the scourge to standstill.
