FUPRE-CSD Honours Bayoko as Fellow and Partner

Delta State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Reginald Bayoko, has been formally decorated as Fellow and Partner, Centre for Sustainable Development of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun in furtherance of the desire of the centre to boost productivity and achieve its objectives.

Mr. Bayoko, who was decorated by the Director of the centre, Dr. Elias Elemike, in Asaba, was described as a man whose live had touched humanity.

Dr. Elemike, while adorning the HoS with the Fellowship and Partner insignia of the centre, expressed the hope that the recipient would deplore his wealth of experience, resources and network in assisting the centre to achieve its objectives.

The FUPRE-CSD Director who was represented by a Deputy Director, Deacon Okezi Odugala, lauded Bayoko for his impeccable character and unblemished records of service and expressed the optimism that the centre would have a robust synergy with the HoS.

In his remarks Reginald Bayoko said he was glad to have been found worthy of the honour, adding that the it was a call for more service to humanity.

He paid tributes to the state governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for repositioning the civil service for effective service delivery in the state which, according to the HoS, was recognised by critical stakeholders.

Making reference to the award presented by the governor to the state civil service at the valedictory dinner, held in honour of Governor Okowa, Mr. Bayoko stated that it indicated the recognition of the value impacted by the civil service at various capacities in the state.

He noted that the Sustainable Development Goals of the centre were meant to make life better for the generality of the citizens, adding that he would always make himself available in the service of humanity.

Mr. Bayoko disclosed that his passion for excellence aligned with the ideals and objectives of the centre, saying that his doors were always opened for the centre, just as he encouraged civil servants in the state to key into the programmes of the centre, including research and training.

FUPRE-CSD was established in 2021 to deepen research, innovation and training in sustainability.
