Ethiope East: Oborevwori, Monarchs Laud Ofobrukueta over Agricultural Exhibition Initiative


Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, His Royal Majesties Ogurimerime, Ukori 1 CON, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom and AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile Rtd, Avwaeke 1, Orosue of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom, have commended Ethiope East local government and the Ethiope East Chapter of the Chambers of Commerce for organizing the first ever exhibition of several Agricultural products at the Ethiope East Pavilion.

Oborevwori who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Investment, through the Director in the ministry, Mr Oseji Felix, applauded the local government Chairman, Hon. Victor Ofobrukueta and the Chambers of Commerce for the auspicious ceremony where several farmers within and outside the local government were given the opportunity to showcase their products.

He advised that series of symposium and lectures should be carried out regularly to sensitize the masses with the inclusive of illustrious sons and daughters of the local government since the program is in line with the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Oborevwori’s led administration.

The Chairman, Ethiope East Chambers of Commerce, Chief Emma Avworo, while speaking said he was overwhelmed with the ceremony which has given their people the privilege to exhibits their farm produce and the entrepreneurs the room to display their potentials in the commerce industry.

Avworo hailed the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Pharm.) Victor Ofobrukueta for being resilient and business friendly as Ethiope East also hosted the First ever “Ethiope East Economic Summit in 2021 and that the trade fair and the exhibition of products is a product of the Summit.

He listed some of the progress derived at the Summit to include: Supreme Care Farms Ltd, proposed Librod Energy, E.E Cattle Ranch, Ohwavworua Food Processing Plant, Eku, Hospitable, secured, and comfortable Hotel established by Chief George Owarieta and Chief Kingsley Esiso within the last 2 years among others.

The two traditional rulers, HRM Ogurimerime, Ukori 1 CON, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom and HRM AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile Rtd, Avwaeke 1, Orosue of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom expressed their satisfactions on the innovative programs of Hon. (Pharm) Ofobrukueta and advised everyone to work towards the vision of his administration and ensure the program is sustained.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman, Ethiope East, Hon (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta said the first ever “Ethiope East Agriculture and Cultural Trade Fair” that is being held at the council’s pavilion is one of the major achievements of this administration.

Ofobrukueta in his speech expressed appreciation over the support and encouragement he had enjoyed from his traditional rulers in the local government area, HRM Ogurimerime, Ukori 1 CON, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom and HRM AVM Lucky Ochuko Ararile Rtd, Avwaeke 1, Orosue of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom the cordial relationship between them.

He thanked the organized private sector spearheaded by Ethiope East Chambers of Commerce under the leadership of Chief Emma Avworo, a renowned Economist for their support and collaboration towards making the event a successful one.

He commended the present administration of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the sustainability of the local government and the efforts towards resuscitating Osubi-Eku-Agbor road which will trigger economic development of the area, adding that the trade fare is a testimony to show that the Ethiope East Vision 2040 is realistic.

Highpoints of the ceremony were the presentation and exhibition of produce/products by the participants who smiled home after making huge sales.
