Ethiope East NULGE honours Ofobrukueta on Successful Completion of Tenure


..Says Ofobrukueta first term a testimony of excellent performance, prays for continuity.

The Chairman, National Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Ethiope East chapter, Comrade Alex Erhivwode has applauded the immediate past local government Chairman, Rt Hon (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta of overwhelming supports and commitments towards humanity.

Speaking at the reception in honour of the immediate past local government Chairman, Comrade Erhivwode described the first tenure of Ofobrukueta as excellent, heart warming and unbeatable especially in handling the affairs of staff welfare.

Erhivwode said though, all the past chairmen have done so well but that one legacy among legacies that Ofobrukueta will be remembered for is his being prompt in paying local government staff their entitlements (remunerations) as at when due.

He said other areas he has also done well is the empowerment programs of over 200 youths in the local government, which has virtually be the talk of the town, the Isiokolo roundabout that is wearing a new face, the Civic center in Okpara that is 90% completed, the education materials provided for all primary school pupils in the local government.

Others are the local security men recruited, trained and equipped with patrol vehicles in all the communities of the local government, the health centers renovated and a lot too numerous to mention that has been done in just in three years of his administration.

While pouring encomium on the Rt. Hon. Victor Ofobrukueta on his performance, Erhivwode used this opportunity to solicit for his return in the forthcoming local government elections to continue his good work, saying he on behalf of his executives and members of NULGE, Ethiope East Chapter passed a vote of confidence on Rt Hon (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta.

Responding, the immediate past local government Chairman, Rt. Hon. (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta, commended the NULGE Chairman and his team for their show of love, understanding and supports throughout the period of the three years he was in the council as Chairman, assuring NULGE and the people of Ethiope East that he will stop at nothing in redeeming his electoral promises at all times.

Ofobrukueta who was overwhelmed with this reception, he will continue to serve his people of Ethiope East by bringing dividends of democracy to their doorsteps, commending the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs Omatsuli Remi for her understanding throughout his tenure.

The immediate past local government Chairman who was represented by the immediate past Secretary to local government area, Hon. Ray Edesiri Aganbi said the recent vote of confidence on Victor Ofobrukueta, that it is affirmation of his contribution to the well being of staff and overall development of the council.

Aganbi while thanking NULGE for the reception accorded the immediate past chairman, he said he has no iota of doubt that their prayers to return back as Chairman to complete his good work will come to pass as they look forward to more fruitful months and years ahead.
