Entrepreneurs Implored to be Good Resource Managers


…As Olomukoro holds 3rd Edition of Make Your Life Count Summit

Delta State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barr. Mrs. Mary Iyasere has charged Deltans especially the young ones to be good entrepreneur and resource managers in order to achieve profitable results.

Barr. Mrs. Iyasere gave the charge while speaking at the Oleh civic centre in Isoko South LGA, Delta State on Saturday, September 23, during the third edition of Make Your Life Count summit powered by Make Your Life Count Organisation, MYLC, sponsored by Pharmacist Dr. Cyril Olomukoro in conjunction with the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria, CYON, Warri Diocese.

The Commissioner who spoke on the topic, “Entrepreneur, a sure way to economic Independence”, noted that the combination of both entrepreneurship with land and capital including prayers, will no doubt produce profit.

Barr. Mrs. Iyasere further stated that hard work and conducive business environment with the ability to cope are the major factors that make one a successful entrepreneur.

On his part, Dr. Muonoye Osondu Mills, Associate Professor of Human Development who spoke on the topic, “The Leadership we Need”, said the qualities f a good leader include sound knowledge, purposeful leadership style, goal oriented and good visioneer.

Dr. Mills further stressed that, all we need presently in Nigeria, are leaders who can mentor their followers so that they can be successful in all they do.

Other speakers include the former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi who was represented by Engr. Dr. Patrick Obi, former Commissioner, Housing and Urban Development, Anambra State who spoke on the topic, “Be The Change You Want To be”.

The event which featured question and answers section was also used to marked the birthday celebration of Pharmacist Dr. Cyril Olomukoro the convener and patron of the Catholic Youths of Nigeria Warri Diocese.

The summit draws dignitaries and participants from across the length and breadth of the state and the nation with award of excellence presented to deserving Nigerian entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves.
