Elon Musk Tops Forbes Billionaires List with Record-Breaking Net Worth
Elon Musk has secured the top spot on Forbes’ 39th annual World’s Billionaires list, surpassing Bernard Arnault, with a net worth that has skyrocketed 75% to $342 billion.
This significant increase is attributed to the rising valuations of xAI, SpaceX, and Tesla’s impressive stock performance over the past year.
Musk’s wealth has made history as he becomes the first person to surpass $300 billion, despite a recent market dip.
According to Chase Peterson-Withorn, Forbes’ Senior Editor for Wealth, “It’s another record-breaking year for the world’s richest people, despite financial uncertainty for many and geopolitical tensions on the rise.”
The latest Forbes rankings reveal a record 3,028 billionaires worldwide, with a collective worth of $16.1 trillion. Other notable billionaires include:
Mark Zuckerberg: No. 2 with $216 billion
Jeff Bezos: No. 3 with $215 billion
Larry Ellison: No. 4 with $192 billion
Bernard Arnault & family: No. 5 with $178 billion
US President Donald Trump also saw a significant increase in wealth, with his net worth more than doubling to $5.1 billion, driven by his Trump Media & Technology Group shares and profits from recent crypto ventures.
