El-Rufai Joins TikTok, Gains Over 200k Followers in 24 Hours
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has officially launched his TikTok account, where he plans to share his thoughts on Nigerian politics and his new party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In his introductory video, El-Rufai invited users to engage with him, saying, “This is my only and official TikTok page. Please join me for videos, comments, and conversations on Nigerian politics, as well as the activities of our new party, Social Democratic Party (SDP). Welcome on board.”
His TikTok page quickly gained traction, amassing over 200,000 followers within 24 hours. El-Rufai’s bio describes him as an “accidental public servant, certified ruffler of feathers, and deliberate SDP member.”
This move comes after El-Rufai’s recent resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his switch to the SDP.
He criticized the APC, stating, “The APC has abandoned the principles that led to its establishment. It has abandoned the community. Everyone is doing their own thing. Everyone is looking for money. The government has become a business government.”
