DTHA Receives Bill For A Law to Establish Special Offences Courts

The honourable member representing Ethiope East State Constituency, in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Evance Ochuko Ivwurie, Today- Wednesday, 2nd November 2016 PRESENTED A BILL FOR A LAW TO ESTABLISH THE SPECIAL OFFENCES COURT which shall try environmental offences and such other offences committed under certain enactments in the State and for other matters connected therewith in Delta State to the Delta State House of Assembly at its plenary session.
The motion for the bill as presented by Hon. Ivwurie was seconded by Hon. Barr. (Comr.) Izeze R.Y. Reuben of Ughelli South Constituency and passed first reading.
The bill has Hon. (Prince) Johnson O.P. Erijo, Hon. (Barr.) Daniel Mayuku, Hon. Barr. (Olorogun) Denis O. Omovie, Hon. Kennedy Daubry, Hon. Anthony E. Elekeokwuri, Hon. (Engr.) Emeka E. Nwaobi as co-sponsors and was scheduled for second reading on the 6th of December, 2016.
