Delta State Government Commends AGIP For Donation Of Relief Materials To IDP Holding Camp


The Delta State Government has commended the management of Nigeria Agip Oil Company, NAOC, for the donation of relief materials worth millions of naira to Internally Displaced Persons, IDP holding camp at Ashaka, Ndokwa East local government area.

The Commissioner Representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development, DESOPADEC, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi gave the commendation while receiving the items on behalf of the State Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Barr. Ernest Ogwezzy for the state government.

Relief Material By AGIP

Hon Ezechi while receiving the relief materials including over 700 bags of rice, cartons of noodles, mattresses, pillows, cartons of vegetable oil, water, first aid drugs amongst, thanked NAOC for the kind gesture.

He said the company has always been alive to its social responsibilities, stressing that the management also responded during the 2012 flood disaster that ravaged various communities.

While urging the company to sustain the commendable records, the DESOPADEC Commissioner assured that the Delta State Government would continue to partner with it for a sustainable conducive environment for it operations.

Ndokwa East Officials

Hon Ezechi charged other multi national companies operating in the locality to emulate the good footsteps of the Nigeria Agip Oil Company as the gesture was capable of promoting peace and development between them and their host communities.

The Chairman, Ndokwa East Local Government Council, Hon. Juan Amechree Governor, represented by his Special Assistant, Okwudini Anthony, the Chairman Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Hon. Ifeanyi Osakwe, the Political adviser to the Ndokwa East council Chairman, Osilonya Onyekweli Vincent and many others, also commended the NAOC for the presentations of the items.
