Delta State Assembly Approves College of Health Technology Bill
Delta State House of Assembly has approved the College of Health Technology Bill, effectively enacting it into law.
The approval process took place on Tuesday, February 11, during a session presided over by Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi.
Hon. Emmanuel Emeka Nwaobi, the Majority Leader moved for the House to be dissolved into the Committee of the Whole to consider the report from the House Committee on Health regarding the Delta State College of Health Technology Bill.
The House Committee on Health, chaired by Hon. Ferguson Onwo, proposed changes to several clauses, which were followed by additional amendments from House members.
After the Speaker provided a progress update on the bill he called for the Majority Leader to move the motion for the bill to be read for the third time and passed.
Hon. Emmanuel Emeka Nwaobi, seconded by Hon. Ferguson Onwo, then moved the motion, and the bill was read for the third time and passed.
The House adjourned to reconvene on Wednesday, 12th February, at 10 a.m.
