Delta State 2017 Appropriation Bill Passes Second Reading
The 2017 Appropriation Bill brought by Governor Okowa to the Delta State House of Assembly, today passed its second reading.
Speaking during the debate on the bill, the Majority Leader, Hon Tim Owhefere said that the bill is set to carter for the welfare of Deltans. He added that the speedy passage of the bill will be of immense benefits to all Deltans as it will aid in kick starting the developmental agenda of the State Government at the appropriate time.
Others who spoke in support of the bill include; Chief Whip, Hon. Pat Ajudua, Hon. Efe Ofobruku and Hon. Johnson Ejiro.
The Bill was unanimously adopted by the House for a second time and committed to the committee on Finance and Appropriation.
Delta State 2017 Appropriation Bill is the Budget proposal for year 2017 and the committee is to report back in Two weeks time.
