Delta Speaker, Oborevwori Felicitates With Muslims At Sallah, Calls For Prayer For Leaders, Nation 


The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated Muslims in the Country as they join other faithful around the world to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Rt. Hon. Oborevwori who is also the National Treasurer of  Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

In a Press Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Dennis Otu, the Speaker implored the Muslim Ummah to see the period as time to render selfless service to God and humanity.

According to the Statement; “I want to wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Delta State, Nigeria and the world over a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. I want to implore our  Muslim faithful to show love to one another, make selfless sacrifice and tolerate each other. This period should be used to for self examination “.

“Let this period also be used to pray for our beloved country and our leaders at all levels. Let us work collectively for the progress of our Country. We should continue to pray for peace and harmony in our nation, especially now that we are approaching election year. I rejoice with all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this occasion bring all of us peace, joy, progress and good health”, the Statement added.
