Delta Legislature Marks 1st Anniversary of 8th Assembly


Activities line up to commemorate the first anniversary of the 8th Delta State House of Assembly, commence tomorrow Tuesday, 4th June 2024, with a Press Conference by the leadership of the House, led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.

A statement by the Chairman Anniversary Committee, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, says the media engagement, scheduled for 8am, will hold at the Chapel, Legislators’ Quarters, Okpanam road, Asaba

Other programmes for the event include a Novelty Football Match between the Delta State Executive Council, led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the legislators, led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor at St Patrick’s College Field, Nnebisi road, Asaba, on Saturday 8th June at 4:00 pm.

On Sunday 9th June 2024, a Thanksgiving Service is scheduled for 10am at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 34 Headquarters, Unity Model Parish, Behind Junior Staff Quarters, Asaba.

The statement adds that a reception to climax the event will take place immediately after the Thanksgiving Service at the Legislators’ Quarters, Okpanam Road, Asaba.

It invites well meaning Deltans from all walks of life and within and outside the state to be a part of the ceremonies.

“Delta State House of Assembly Ist Anniversary of the 8th Assembly Thanksgiving Service holds on Sunday 9th June, 2024.

“Venue is Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 34 Headquarters, Unity Model Parish, behind Junior staff Quarters, Asaba, Delta State at 10:00am.

“Reception follows immediately after the Thanksgiving service at the Legislators’ Quarters, Okpanam Road, Asaba”, Hon Nwaobi, said in the statement.
