Delta Gubernatorial Election: It Was A Pay Back Time For Okowa – Ofobruku, Nwaobi
The Member Representing Uvwie Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Efe Ofobruku and his Aniocha North Constituency counterpart, Hon Emeka Nwaobi have said that the 2019 Governorship election in Delta State was an opportunity to pay Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his good works.
Hon Ofobruku and Hon Nwaobi who spoke while reacting on the 2019 general elections after today’s plenary, said the victory was well deserved.
Hon Ofobruku stated that the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is platform given to him by Deltans to enable him do more development work across the state that would surpass his first term.
The Lawmaker said the victory of the Governor was a clear indication that Deltans were appreciative of his good works as evident in road infrastructure, healthcare, transportation, and peace and security among other areas of achievements.
Hon Ofobruku noted that the governorship results showed that the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC was not on ground and was just making political rantings, adding that the party had nothing to offer Deltans.
Hon Ofobruku who served as the Director of Administration, Delta State PDP Campaign Council said Deltans will see more practical development in the second tenure of the governor.
The lawmaker disclosed that there was relative peace in Uvwie local government area as security agencies in collaboration with the state government had put the situation under control following political tension before the general elections.
Also speaking, the Member Representing Aniocha North Constituency Hon Emeka Nwaobi noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa good works spoke volume for him during the election hence the landslide victory at the governorship polls.
Hon Nwaobi who commended the people of Aniocha North Constituency for reelecting himself and the governor stressed that the good works would continue.
He said the victory of the PDP was expected as infrastructure development embarked upon by the Okowa administration had further brought development to the grassroots.
Hon Nwaobi promised to continue to give Aniocha North effective and robust representation through legislative framework.
