Delta at 28: Edoja Charges Deltans To Support Governor Okowa’s Stronger Delta Agenda


A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State and the MD/CEO Class Motors, Dr. Benson Edoja, has congratulated Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Governor of Delta State and Deltans on the 28th anniversary of the creation of Delta state.

Edoja, who is the founder of Ben Edoja support group for Okowa 2019 in a goodwill message, called on Deltans to continue to support Governor Okowa-led administration in its quest to build a “stronger Delta,” and lead the state into comity of states with world class infrastructures.

In a statement personally signed by him, he said: “In the last 28 years of its creation, Delta State has grown in all ramifications and fast becoming an industrial hub in the south-south region, particularly since the returned to democracy in 1999 with Chief James Ibori laying the foundation.

“Today the state has one of the best State Airports, not just serving the people of the state but also our brothers from the eastern region with its huge economic potentials and with the administrative ingenuity of our current government, the state is in the path of progress.

Extolling leadership qualities Governor Okowa, he added that if supported, the current governor has the capacity to take our dear state to a new developmental pedestal.

“As we mark another anniversary today, I am calling on Deltans across ethnic and political divide to shun all forms of divisive tendency and support the Governor Okowa-led government to take us to prosperity for all and a stronger Delta.

“Your Excellency, I join millions of Deltans to congratulate you and the good people of Delta state on the 28th anniversary of the creation of our dear state, praying God to give you wisdom to take our state to an enviable height in terms of socio-economic development.”
