Delta Assembly: Uviejitobor Reelected For Udu Constituency 


The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Udu constituency in the last Saturday’s State House of Assembly election, Hon Peter Uviejitobor has been declared winner of the election.

The Returning Officer for Udu council area for the election, Prof. Teilanyo Diri who announced the results at Otor-Udu, headquarters of the local government council, said the PDP candidate polled 9,136 to beat the APC candidate, Hon Benjamin Sharta who scored 6,777 votes.

Other scores announced by Prof Diri include , SDP 684, ADP, 119 and Labour Party, 424.

The announcement of the results was characterized by heavy presence of security agencies to forestall any form of violence.

Reacting to the victory, Hon Peter Uviejitobor who represents Udu constituency in the state legislature, thanked God for his reelection and dedicated the victory to the people of Udu.

Hon Uviejitobor reassured the constituents of more quality representation, promising to work with the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and all relevant stakeholders to attract greater development to the area.
