Delta APC Disowns Spurious Statement Against Minister Keyamo


The attention of the State Chairman and members of the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, has been drawn to a spurious statement by some faceless elements who impersonated the party to level false accusations against the Honourable Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN.

The party in a release personally signed by the State Chairman, Prophet Jones Ode Erue denied authorizing such a concocted falsehood and warned those behind the highly disparaging content to desist forthwith from using the name of the party and its Chairman, to cause disaffection among its leaders.

The party alerted the reading public, that this charade is yet another wicked plot by the enemies of the party within and outside, to set internal wranglings within its ranks to destroy the current peace being enjoyed.

The statement stressed that the State Chairman and its State Working Committee enjoy very robust and cordial relationship with the Hon. Minister and will not be railroaded by the shenanigans of wicked people into creating bickering among them.

The party also denied the content of an alledged text message between the Chairman and the Hon. Minister, Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN, adding, that it holds the Honourable Minister in very high esteem and has never contemplated bringing down its own house for pecuniary reasons.

The party further states that it’s State Chairman was at no time stranded in Abuja Airport as enumerated in the false publication rather, he was at that same quoted time on a National assignment in Bayelsa State and therefore reinterates, that the said story is fake news and was not authorized by the Chairman nor any member of the State Working Committee which should be therefore disregarded in its entirety.

The party urged the general public to disregard the spurious allegations contained in the said statement and always seek direct confirmation from the State Chairman through his verified phone number about any news purportedly emanating from the party before giving vent to it as the purveyors of fake news have hijacked the online media.
