Delta @30: Dame Okowa Celebrates With Deltans, Showers Prayers of Unity

Wife of Delta Governor and Founder, O5 Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa has congratulated Deltans on the 30th anniversary of the creation of Delta state.

In a goodwill message to Deltans, Dame Okowa expressed thanks to God for the existing peace and unity amongst diverse ethnic nationalities in the state over the past 30 years.

“God has been faithful in this 30years of our existence; we have increased on every side; this can only be the handiwork of God and we are grateful for His faithfulness towards us.

“Irrespective of our tribe, location and cultural differences, we have lived together as one big family.

“As we celebrate this milestone, let us continue to maintain the peaceful standard we have attained. Our hopes and aspiration for a Delta of our dream is possible. But we must work hard to get things done.

“Let us do away with the vices that threatens our togetherness; and stay focused in love, Unity and progress.”

While blessing the future years of the state, She said, “It is my prayer that the Lord will perfect all that concerns us as we enter a new era; Jesus in name, Amen.”
