Delta 2019: Ugwumba Solicits Support Of Deltans In Diaspora
The running mate to the All Grand Alliance Party’s candidate in the 2nd March, 2019 gubernatorial race in Delta State, Dr (Mrs) Rukevwe Ugwumba has predicted victory for the party in the election.
Speaking with newsmen at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on arrival from United States of America where she met with some Deltans in diaspora, Dr Ugwumba said Delta State was in need of good governance.
She explained that her joint ticket with the AGAP candidate, Chief Brando Omu was an answer to that desire by majority of Deltans, stressing that the party’s manifesto clearly spelt out the development plans it has for the state.
Dr Ugwumba noted that all that was required is the massive support of the people with their votes, stressing that victory was sure for the party in Delta State.
The AGAP gubernatorial running mate disclosed that the party was presently reaching out to Deltans both at home and diaspora on the need to support her and Chief Omu as they represent the new face of Delta.
She expressed joy of the support of the people so far and enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and all agencies that will be involved in the conduct of the general elections to ensure a free and fair conduct.
