The immediate past Executive Director Social Services Development, on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and Delta State House of Assembly Hopeful for Ukwuani State Constituency, Hon. Christopher Ochor Ochor, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the candidate of the party in the state for the 2019 Governorship election in Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for a successful primary organised on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
Hon Ochor, who was excited about the outcome of the primary, said the process that led to the endorsement of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the party flag bearer in 2019, shows how organised the party had evolved over time.
“What happened here today is a sign of unity among our teeming members. We have our problems, but will had gone beyond that stage.” He said.
Hon Ochor who was one of those who took party in the endorsement, said that the party is a very strong one, despite that most of the members left, the party is still strong, as all the major players are still within the party. He paid glowing tribute to the former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori, whom he called the pillar of the party in the state.
“You can see that we still have our members who are the pillars of the party in the state, like His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori. You saw how the crowd was electrified when he arrived. That is the spirit in the party. You saw how organised we conducted ourselves. That is PDP.
“I congratulate our great party, PDP, I congratulate our amiable Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, who today we had unanimously endorsed to carry our flag in 2019, I congratulate the organising committee, and above all the entire members of the party in the state.”
“Now that we had gotten our candidate, let us now fall back to canvass for the victory. Every member of the party have to take part. Its our project and we must prove that we are the only party in Delta State in 2019.”
