Delta 2019: Governor Okowa Represents Equity, Fairness – Macaulay
…Lauds his development strides

Former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has reiterated a call for the reelection of Delta state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa ahead of the 2019 general election.
He stated that a vote for Okowa is for equity and fairness.
Macaulay made the statement while receiving an award from the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Delta State chapter, for philanthropy and contribution to development of music.
Receiving the award titled, ‘The Beloved Pride of Delta State PMAN’, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay dedicated the award to equity and fairness adding that the understanding and true practice of the salients have remain central to the development of democracy in the state.
According to him, beyond the fact that power rotation has contributed immensely to the sense of belonging Deltans enjoy, Governor Okowa has proven his mettle as far as development and good governance is concerned hence he should be reelected.
Macaulay, however advocated the need for artistes and Deltans by extension to promote peace and unity and to build bridges of peace and understanding.
He said, “Am humbled because you remembered my benevolence four years after. I urge you to use music to promote Delta State. Let’s use music to build Bridges of understanding. Use your music to encourage revolution. May God remember you. I dedicate the award to anybody who believes in equity.”
The award saw the crème of performing artistes in Delta State thronging the streets of Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area, in march to Macaulay’s hometown residence were the award was presented by PMAN, State Chairman, Mr Quincy Tebite aka ‘Tessio’.
