Decision for Second Term lies on Constituents – Hon Oharisi

The Honourable member representing Ughelli North Constituency 2 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Eric Oharisi, has said that his second term ambition is a decision that can only be made by the electorates he represented even as he score himself high.

Hon. Oharisi made this statement in a chat with newsmen on Saturday, September 16, during the birthday celebration of the former minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Hon. Dr. Steve Oru at his country home in Ughelli.

The lawmaker disclosed that he believe that the decision for a member to run for a second term can only be assured by the electorate whom he said voted them. He noted that if his performance in his first tenure is satisfactory to them and he is scored high, then he will be ask to go back. 

He added that in terms of positive representation, he is among the first out of the 29 members in the house that have attracted positive development and empowerment to his constituency, and as such, he believed that his people will definitely support him when the time come.

He however called on those who have not benefited from his tenure to be patient. In his words; “In politics, today Mr. A may benefit but tomorrow it might be Mr. B turn to benefit”. He therefore urged all his constituents to bear with him as the current economic recession in the nation affected all strata and promised to give them positive representation which he has always being.

On Dr. Steve Oru’s birthday, the lawmaker described the celebrant as a father, an uncle and a political father leader to him, hence he has come to felicitate with him. He wished the celebrant long life and more grace to go higher in life.
