Deaconess Oborevwori Commends Groups for Identifying with Her Foundation

Wife of Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has commended various organizations for identifying with her pet project, You Matter Charity Foundation and extending same to her husband’s administration.

Speaking on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, when she received a delegation of  Professional Women Accountants of Nigeria (PROWAN) at Government House, Asaba, Deaconess Oborevwori reiterated her foundation’s goal of creating a world where everybody is somebody.

Excited at the group’s humanitarian activities which align with her foundation’s agenda, she pledged to identify with the professional body in their various activities.

The governor’s wife lauded the women for their career choice, emphasizing that ”they have joined the men on the decision table. This shows that we are no longer where we used to be’’.

She charged them to contribute their expertise to the development of the state by supporting her husband’s MORE agenda.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Rev Mrs Maureen Eboka congratulated Deaconess Oborevwori for the vision of her foundation and promised the group’s support in helping her succeed.

They sought her assistance in meeting the demands of the group especially in raising more female accountants through initiatives that would catch them at a young age.

In a separate meeting, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori conveyed the appreciation of her husband, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to support groups that contributed to his election as Governor of Delta State.

Deaconess Oborevwori extended the appreciation when she received representatives of the Delta PDP Coalition Support Group led by Chief Assay Omamuzo at her office.

She expressed confidence in her husband’s administration to meet the expectations of Deltans and sought the sustained support of the groups.

Speaking at the visit, Chief Omamuzo expressed satisfaction that the efforts of Deltans at the governorship election did not go in vain and urged Governor Oborevwori not to relent on his social contract with the people of the state, as they are truly happy with his administration.

He further assured the governor’s wife that the support groups under his watch will partner with her foundation.
