Davido Drops New Single ‘Be There Still’ Ahead of Album Release

Nigerian music sensation Davido has released a brand-new single, ‘Be There Still’, as fans eagerly await his upcoming fifth studio album, ‘5IVE’.

The song, which dropped on Friday, is a dynamic fusion of Afrobeat and contemporary sounds.

Davido announced the release on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, @davido, with the caption, “Midnight we feast”, moments before dropping the song.

The production team behind ‘Be There Still’ includes Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture, with mixing handled by D-RO.

Davido had previously revealed that his highly anticipated fifth album, ‘5IVE’, is scheduled for release on April 18. As part of the prelude to the album’s release, the singer had dropped two singles, ‘Funds’ featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley.

According to Davido, ‘5IVE’ is “a reflection of my story, truth, and growth”. He stated, “My people! The journey continues in 2025 with my new album, 5IVE!! This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth.
