Dame Edith Okowa Celebrates World Orphans Day 2016

The first lady of Delta State and Founder Of 05 Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa, today celebrated the World Orphans Day 2016 with the Presentation of Scholarships and Distributions of Food Items at the Government House, Asaba.

Speaking during the ceremony, Dame Edith Okowa urged world leaders, politicians, wealthy Deltans and Nigerians to provide shelter for orphans, stating that there is nothing like showing love to the orphans.

Some of the dignitaries present at the occasion were Female Members of the Delta State House of Assembly- Hon. Angela Nwaka, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori, Hon. Pat Ajudua, Hon. Orezi Esievo.

Others were the Delta State Commissioner For Commerce and Industry, Hon Iyasere Mary, Mrs Ivana Shenton, Mrs Kevwe Agas, Government House Chaplain, Ven. Charles Osemene and many other dignitaries.
