Covid-19: Yingi Tasks Deltans On Enhanced Personal Hygiene To Check Virus
The Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Environment and Marine Transportation, Hon (Chief) Daniel Yingi has advocated for enhanced personal hygiene among Deltans as government steps up measures to check the spread of Covid-19 in the State.
Hon Yingi who addressed newsmen at his home town Okpokunu, in Burutu local government area, said the people must encourage government efforts at ensuring that Delta State is free of the dangerous disease.
The former Lawmaker who represented Burutu One Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly posited that the dreaded Coronavirus has humbled the world.
He commended the resilience of the State Central Committee on Managing and Containing the Coronavirus Pandemic headed by Governor Okowa for the several far-reaching decisions made so far to wade off Virus from the shores of Delta State.
Hon Yingi maintained that even as scientists and researchers continued to seek for antidotes for the cure of the disease, it was pertinent for the people to adopt all preventive measures to avoid the contiguous virus.
The Special Adviser listed constant use of face masks, frequent hand washing and the use of sanitizer as globally accepted measures to checking the spread of the virus.
He also urged Deltans to obey the stay at home order of the state government as well as maintaining social distances at all times.
Hon Yingi expressed the hope that the deadly virus will soon be a thing of the past as God has not and can never abandon His children.
