Covid-19: Sapele NUJ Chapel Distributes Face Masks To Residents
While strictly observing the social distance order, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Sapele Correspondence Chapel has distributed hundreds of face masks to residents of Sapele local government area, including market women with a view to nipping the spread of the pandemic as part of its oversight social responsibility functions.
The Chapel which assigned a few of its members to the distribution has also appreciated those who contributed most of the washable face masks, noting that the fight against the spread of the pandemic was the duty of all well meaning Nigerians.
Comrade Godwin Oghre the chairman of the Chapel while addressing members of the Union at the NUJ press center, expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Joyce Overah, commissioner representing the people of Sapele, Ethiope West and Okpe local government areas in the board of DESOPADEC, the Executive Chairman of Sapele local government area, Chief Eugene Okpeh Inoaghan, Mr Peter Eferurie a.k.a governor and Mr Festus Pemu who jointly contributed the face masks to the chapel for distribution to members of the public.
Comrade Oghre further advised members of the public to make use of the face mask to safe themselves the harassment from security personnel.
