A Special Assistant on Youth Development to the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Oghale Igbrude, on Thursday, April 16, distributed packs of rice and Coronavirus preventive kits to indigent persons in his community of Isoko North Local Government Area.
The Coronavirus preventive items distributed include, plastic buckets with taps, buckets without taps, hand sanitizers, liquid soaps and packets of napkins.
Oghale, son of former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Young Daniel Igbrude, gave packs of rice to the elderly and childless adults to cushion the effects of the lockdown declared by the state government.
The Governor’s Aide explained that the decision to give out the COVID-19 preventive kits to his people in Isoko North Local Government Area, was in-line with Dr. Okowa’ s determination to stem the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease in Delta State.
Recall that the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, had declared a two-week lockdown in state, effective on Wednesday April 1, as part of measures to curtail and contain the spread of COVID-19. The lockdown has further been extended for another two weeks.
