Court Closes ‘Hush Money’ Case Against Trump
US President-Elect, Donald Trump has been sentenced to unconditional discharge for his conviction last year on 34 charges of business fraud related to hush money payment to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
According to a CNN report, New York Judge Juan Merchan delivered the sentence during a virtual court session, stating, “This court has determined that the only lawful sentence that permits entry of a judgement of conviction without encroaching on the highest office of the land, is an unconditional discharge”.
