Cleric Hails Okowa on Appointment of Jerry Ogor as Senior Special Assistant
…Describes Appointment as Reward for Loyalty, Hardwork
An Agbor based cleric, Pastor Fred Obiazi has hailed the recent appointment of Mr. Jerry Ogor as the Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, describing it as a fitting reward for loyalty, excellence and hardwork.
Speaking with our correspondent at Agbor, Pastor Obiazi while congratulating Mr. Ogor, charged the appointee not to relent but to strive harder to justify the confidence reposed on him by his Excellency by working for the success of the Okowa administration.
The cleric also appreciated the Governor for the appointment which he described as well deserved.
Pastor Obiazi said, “The appointment of Mr. Jerry Ogor as the Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to the Governor, is well deserved and commendable. It did come as a pleasant surprise to me as I am aware of the unalloyed loyalty and consistency of the appointee to his Excellency over the years. The Governor has by this appointment shown that loyalty pays and can be rewarded.
“Having known the appointee for some time now, I am confident that he will give a good account of himself by being a plus to the administration. Mr. Jerry Ogor indeed is a round peg in a round hole.”
On his part, Ogor in a telephone chat, appreciated the Governor for the appointment which he said was a call for greater service.
In his words, “since my appointment by Governor Okowa, I have already hit the ground running as I intend by the grace of God, contribute my quota to the success of the Stronger Delta Agenda of his Excellency.
“I want to also thank the Governor for considering me worthy for this appointment. Governor Okowa is a listening Governor and I will use my office to promote the programmes and policies of the state government to the citizenry and the concerns of the citizens back to him for the overall success of his administration.”
