Covid-19: Bube-Dan Global Resources Donates Food Items To Ika Communities
Bube-Dan Global Resources limited, a leading Indigenous Civil Engineering Firm in Nigeria, has donated food items to two communities in Ika South to help cushion the effects of the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
The food items mainly bags of rice were delivered on Monday, April 20, 2020 to Ogbemudein and Ihaipken communities both in Agbor kingdom in Ika South local government area by the representatives of the company led by the Manager Operations, Engr Dave Mordi.
The beneficiaries, according to the company’s representatives are the elderly, youths and widows among others in the two communities.
The people whose joy know no bounds had gathered at the village square to receive the delegation coming with the food items.
The team leader told the people that they were sent by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the construction firm, Mr P. I. Nkeki who incidentally is a son of the soil.
He stated that Bube-Dan Global Resources limited was concerned about the challenges of the times hence the decision to send the palliatives.
Engr Mordi said the donation was further effort by the company towards cushioning the effect of the the lockdown in the state as it had earlier made other donations at different fora.
He noted that the gesture would enhance steps taken so far by the Delta State Governor Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa towards addressing the challenge of hunger brought about by the restriction of movement order in the state.
The team leader commended the people for being law abiding and adhering to government Stay At Home directive as it had helped to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in Delta State.
He expressed optimism that the challenges brought by the pandemic would soon be over and admonished them to stay safe always.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Mr Nkeki for his philanthropist gesture and for always coming to the aid of the people at the time of needs.
Describing him as a worthy ambassador of the Ika nation, the two communities said Bube-Dan Global Resources limited had left some indelible marks in the locality, saying that the people will continue to pray for the growth of the company and wellbeing of the workers.
The high point of the ceremony was formal handing over of the food items to representatives of the two communities who will in turn distribute the products among themselves.
