BREAKING: NCAA Suspends Max Air Operations

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the operations of Max Air, a local carrier, for three months.

This decision follows an incident involving one of Max Air’s aircraft at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano on January 28, 2025.

According to reports from CHANNELS, the suspension will last for three months, effective immediately.

This is not the first time Max Air has been suspended. In 2023, the NCAA suspended Max Air’s operations due to severe safety violations. A conducted audit revealed over 28 critical safety issues, including altered records submission, neglect of necessary replacements, and discrepancies in landing gear airworthiness and maintenance personnel certification.
