Atiku’s Victory: A Birthday Gift To Me – Osanebi

The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has congratulated Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on his emergence as the presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the just concluded elective convention of the party in Port Harcourt, River State.

Speaking with Newsmen at the Adokiye Amasiemeka Stadium, Port Harcourt, venue for the convention, Rt. Hon. Osanebi described the development as a great birthday gift as the date of the declaration of the victory coincided with his birthday which is October 7.

The Deputy Speaker noted that as strong advocate of a better and egalitarian Nigeria, he was indeed happy as the development had brought great hope to Nigerians.

He said he believes that emergence Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar to fly the PDP presidential flag was the best for the party and commended delegates for their sound judgement.

Osanebi stressed “I must appreciate and congratulate His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for organizing the best elective party convention in the history of Nigeria. Okowa has again proven his leadership capabilities and qualities. I thank him for making us Deltans proud”.

“I am also grateful to God for the life he has given me, to celebrate yet another birthday anniversary today, and the resounding birthday gift he has given today. While I congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on his emergence this morning, I want to commend the excellent performance of my leader, and Governor of Delta State and to commend them for the wonderful birthday gift “. Osanebi stated.

The Deputy Speaker expressed optimism that the PDP will win the presidency in the 2019 general election.
