PDP Crisis: Aniocha PDP Suspends Elumelu, Osuoza, Oseme, Others for Gross Misconducts
…Refutes the Suspension of Nwaobi and Others.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in a dramatic move towards bringing sanity to the activities of the party in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, has suspended indefinitely the former Member, Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and four others from the Party.
In a statement signed by Hon. Julius Egoh, secretary of the Party in Aniocha North, Hon. Barr. Kress Njiokwuemeni, Hon. Chuks Oseme, Mr. Michael Osuoza, Chief Emma Eboh and Mr. Kaikene Okolie were listed among those suspended indefinitely for gross misconducts and indiscipline by the party.
According to the Statement, the indefinite suspension was slammed on the members for what the party described as acts of gross misconducts inimical to the peace and progress of the party in the area.
The statement reads in whole:
“Arising from an enlarged Exco meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aniocha North Chapter, on Friday 16th February, 2018, at the Party’s Secretariat in Issele-Uku, the following under listed members of the party are hereby suspended indefinitely from the Party in the area.
1). Hon. Ndudi Elumelu
2). Barr. Kress Njiokwuemeni
3). Hon. Chuks Oseme
4). Mr. Michael Osuoza
5). Chief Emma Eboh
6). Mr. Kaikene Okolie
It further stated that “The decision was unanimously reached after taking a cursory look at the undisciplined and gross misconduct of the above persons, which are inimical to the peace and progress of the party in Aniocha North Local Government Area”.
“The indefinite suspension of the above persons takes immediate effect from this day, 16th February, 2018, to act as deterrent to uncultured elements within the party, who may want to cause crisis at any given opportunity for personal interests.
“For the avoidance of doubts, the party in the area will no longer condone any form of indiscipline and unruly behaviour of some members, no matter their political status.
Meanwhile, the party leaders have also affirmed that the purported suspension of Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, Member, representing Aniocha North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly and Five others was just a figment of the imagination of Mr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza a.k.a Agenda, adding that a vote of no confidence had already been passed on the former LGA PDP Chairman, Prince Victor Egbune, while confirming that the resolution of the party has since been submitted to the PDP State Chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso.
The PDP leaders in Aniocha North therefore, asked the public to disregard the vituperation of a powerless clique of the former Chairman of the party in the area, Prince Victor Egbune and his cronies, stating that as suspended members, they lacked the power to suspend any member of the party in the area.
