Anambra Security Outfit Declares Arrest of Women Without Bras, Pants
A security outfit in Anambra State has announced that women seen in public without bras or panties will be arrested.
The announcement, made via a public address system, was captured in a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
In the viral video, an official of the security outfit, speaking in Igbo, claimed the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, issued the directive.
Meanwhile, Former Senator Shehu Sani questioned the logistics of verifying compliance, asking, “Anambra’s Bra and Pant law; I don’t know if the Pant law is applicable to Men….and how can the security outfit verify ladies compliance??”
However, the Anambra authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the announcement, leaving many to wonder about the implications of such a policy.
