All Set for Ika Economic Summit on June 24 – Emu
The maiden Ika Economic Summit being organised by Ika Village Square (IVS) is to hold on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Ika National Hall, Agbor, by 10am.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the organising committee of the event, Dr. Kingsley Emu, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour, while Prof. P. C. Egbon of the Department of Economics, Delta State University, Abraka, will be the Keynote Speaker.
The ceremony, with the theme ‘Exploiting The Economic Potentials Of Ika Nation Through Strategic Partnerships’, will hold under the distinguished Chairmanship of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, just as all Traditional Rulers in Ika Nation are billed to be Royal Hosts.
According to Dr. Emu, who is also the state Commissioner for Economic Planning, Major General Leo Irabor will be the Special Guest Speaker on Security, while the Lead Speakers are Prof. Eric Eboh- Agribusiness, Dr. Jude Ogala – Solid Minerals, David Igbodo (Commissioner of Police) – Security. and Prof. (Mrs.) Stella Chiemeke – Ancillary Services.
The statement advised members of the public, particularly Ika indigenes, to attend the summit and contribute to the economic revival and development of Ika Nation.
