Afiesere Community Holds Youth/Employment Election On July 24
The Afiesere community of Ughelli North local government area of Delta state, has set up a six-man Electoral Committee to conduct the Youth/Employment Committee election on Saturday 24th July, 2021 at the Afiesere community town hall.
The six-man Electoral Committee members to conduct the Youth/Employment Committee election are; Hon. Emmanuel Ogaga Umukoro as Chairman, Hon. Wilson Agogo as Secretary, Hon. Ogbodu Edafifue as Treasurer while Hon. Erubure Ejotubu, Hon. Edafe Shikaleke and Hon. Ekama Emmanuel as members.
In a statement issued to newsmen within the week by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Ogaga Umukoro, Secretary, Hon. Wilson Agogo and Treasurer, Hon. Ogbodu Edafifue said only those whose parents are indigenes and were buried in Afiesere community or Ughelli urban if they are late and woman married to indigene and have contributed to the development of the community are eligible to contest.
The electoral committee members had explained that the tenure of the incumbent executives which is three years will come to an end on the 12th of August, 2021 for a new executives to emerge after the election.
The Electoral Committee also affirmed that the election coming up on Saturday 24th of July, 2021, has the backing and blessings of the Afiesere Central Executives body led by the President General, Ambassador Richard Ovwreghrederohwo and the eldest man of the Afiesere community.
The electoral committee has by this notice advised all aspirants contesting to go about their normal campaign peacefully without acrimony so as to put in place a credible youth/employment committee executives to pilot the affairs of the youths for the next three years.
The electoral committee had also appealed to all Afiesere community sons and daughters and all other stakeholder to give the committee their maximum supports to ensure that the election is hitch free and they succeed in their assignment.
