2019: A New Delta is Possible – Charles Nwadiani

Frontline 2019 Gubernatorial Aspirant in Delta State, Dr. Charles Nwadiani has said that the corruption ideology laid down by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State which has done no good to Deltans since 1999, will be crippled when he takes over Osadebe House in 2019, stating that the cluelessness and maladministration by the current administration have reduced the glory of the naturally endowed State to a laughing stock.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Chieftain stated this at a meeting with members of Team Nwadiani on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Asaba, noting that a new Delta State is possible if Deltans agree to reject the recycling of old politicians and financial buccaneers who are hell bent on starving the state of true governance and rapid economic development.

In his words; “By the time we roll out our campaign plans, the sitting Governor will be so threatened. Take a look at Lagos, when you go round you will see the difference between Governance and Choprance. I do not believe that there is any leader that can not be overthrown.

“Due to the prevailing corruption in Delta State, Deltans are always exposed to insecurity. Okowa and his team are heavily looting the Federal Allocation because they are clueless on how to generate revenue from the State and he is deceiving the public by just painting the roads black all in the name of road constructions.”

While encouraging the team to be steadfast in preparation for the work ahead, the 41 year old gubernatorial aspirant said, “I am not a green horn in the politics of Delta. The issue of 2019 is that, I want to be Governor and I am not mincing words about it. I am not going to rely extremely on big names to achieve this task because majority of this big names already have those that they are supporting. Who says a commoner can not become a big name in a State? I know that those that are with me will ensure that I pick the APC ticket and become the Governor of Delta State.”

Nwadiani further hinted that in the coming weeks, his campaign train will storm the nooks and crannies of the State which will herald the kick off of consultation visits. “We will start by consulting with Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, the leader of the party whom in his wisdom feels it’s the turn of Delta North to produce the next governor of the State”.

Speaking to newsmen at the end of the meeting, the Director General of the Charles Nwadiani Campaign Organization, Engr. Rotimi Ajaguna said that, Nwadiani is a great asset to Delta State and that his track record is one of excellence and proven results which Deltans will immensely benefit when voted into power.

“Nwadiani is a man of history who is a go-getter. He cut his political teeth in the early 2000s as an Assistant to Rauf Aregbesola then Lagos State Commissioner for Works. Nwadiani’s contribution to the success of Lagos state is outstanding and he was among the team that laid the foundation for the infrastructural and economic renaissance and growth still being recorded. He was instrumental to the extensive IGR drive of the Lagos state government such that same stands presently at over 22 billion Naira monthly.

“With Charles Nwadiani on the saddle, Delta State will surely work again for all Deltans. Never again will the state capital be allowed to degenerate to the sorry state it now finds itself. Same goes for other towns in the state. Never again will government give excuses for failure. Nwadiani understands Deltans as he sees his destiny as intertwined with that of the state.

“Nwadiani believes that Delta State is indeed endowed and that with the right leadership, Delta State will become a place of pride. The vision of Nwadiani as captured in his PASSED Manifesto (Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Social Economic Development) contains a blueprint for the restoration and advancement of Delta State.”
