BREAKING: Court Grants Dele Farotimi N50m Bail, Trial Continues

Ekiti State Magistrate Court has granted Human Rights Lawyer, Dele Farotimi bail over the defamation case filed by Afe Babalola.
This was made known in a post shared on X by the 2023 African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, on Monday.
Sowore stated that Farotimi was granted N50m bail with a surety in the same amount, who must provide landed property as collateral. The case has been adjourned to 29 January 2025.
He wrote, “The first hurdle was crossed. @DeleFarotimi was granted bail of N50 million naira surety in the like sum with someone with landed property. The Case was Adjourned to 29 January 2025.”
