8th Assembly: Delta Assembly Service Commission Celebrates First Anniversary
The Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission has felicitated with the Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor-led 8th Assembly on its first-year anniversary.
Acting Chairman of the Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Sunday Ohwo Ebireri, in a statement, lauded the lawmakers for achieving so much in just one year.
Mr. Ebireri particularly commended the leadership qualities of the Speaker and the unity of purpose amongst all members of the 8th Assembly.
He said, “It is one year of a power-packed legislative session, one year of purposeful leadership, one year of quality legislation.”
“I, on behalf of members, management, and staff of the Commission, congratulate Mr. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the leadership, and Honorable members of the 8th Delta State Assembly on the first anniversary,” Ebireri stated. “We join other well-meaning Deltans to celebrate the achievements recorded in just one year, in line with the core mandate of lawmaking, representation, and oversight of the legislature.”
Mr. Ebireri, who noted that the MORE mantra of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been very impactful, acknowledged the camaraderie between the 8th Assembly and the Executive arm of the Delta State government.
He called for the sustenance of such sound synergy and partnership between the two arms of government for peace and good governance of the state.
“We also commend the partnership with the Executive in moving the state forward,” he said.
“All of us at the Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission pledge our commitment to progress and development in the State Legislature.” “We will continue to put in our best to achieving more in the Assembly in line with the MORE agenda of the State government.”
“We look forward to seeing a more vibrant House in the second year of the 8th Assembly,” Ebireri concluded.
