51-Year-Old Youth President Rapes Teenager In Delta Community


A 14 year old girl, Nkechi (Surname withheld), has been reportedly raped by a 51 year old man, Mr Ifeanyi Nkeosenyem the youth president of Ugbodu community in Aniocha North Local Government of Delta state.

Investigations revealed that the incident which occurred on Thursday, April 16, at the community was the Seventh rape cases Mr Nkeosenyem had allegedly committed in the area.

It was learnt that the suspect is an uncle to the victim who had been in evil act in the community.

According to sources, the suspect visited the home of the victim’s parent and on getting there, parents were not at home and hence, the suspect lured the victim into her parents matrimonial bed and defiled her.

“On that fateful day, Nkeosenyem who is the youth president of the community lured the victim into the matrimonial bed of her parents, defiled her and threatened her that her parents can’t do anything since they are poor and he can always buy his way out.

“This is not the first or fifth time the man had indulged in such act of defilement of minors in the community.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Delta state command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya who confirmed the incident, described it as an evil act against humanity.

She said the suspect has been arrested and transferred to the state headquarters Asaba.

“The suspect has been arrested. He is at the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Because of the matter is horrific crime, so we really need court but this COVID-19 lockdown mobile court can not hand it, he will be charged to court after the lockdown” PPRO said.
