2019 Elections: Delta Must Be First In All We Do – IPAC


BEING A CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO HIS EXCELLENCY DELTA STATE GOVERNOR ELECT DR. ARTHUR IFEANYI OKOWA.

I want to, on behalf of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), congratulate the Delta State governor-elect, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and all member-elect into the State House of Assembly having emerge winners at the just concluded 2019 governorship/State House of Assembly elections.

We want to specially thank all deltans for the magnitude of cooperation accorded the INEC and Security Agencies all through the electioneering period.

Also, we extend our warmth appreciation to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the joint Security Agencies, Election Observers, Political Parties and other stakeholders for their various selfless roles before, during and after the election to ensuring the entire process was hitch-free.

Our regards to all candidates who contested under various political parties. Your quest to contesting in the election, no doubt, was born out of the common desire to contribute your quota in order to achieving a greater Delta. But, as we all know, only one winner emerges in a contest at a time. Therefore, we call on you all to embrace the winners and join your ideas in furtherance of the desire to see a better Delta State. This we must all know, that in all, Delta State must come first!

We therefore, call on the governor-elect, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to see his reelection as a privilege from God and a show of trust from Deltans, while urging him to be magnanimous in victory.

However, those who may not have been satisfied with the outcome of the election results are free to seek redress in accordance with the stipulated electoral laws and processes.

The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Delta State chapter is thrilled at the general level of cooperation and understanding by all stakeholders having yielded to our continued plea in the build up to the general elections, as reflected during the electioneering period.
We therefore, pledge to work with the governor-elect and all other well meaning stakeholders to ensuring that, such peace, cooperation and understanding is sustained in the State.
