The Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has expressed gratitude to the people of Delta North for their overwhelming support and endorsement of Governor Okowa’s re-election in 2019.

This appreciation was contained in a Press Statement issued by the Party and signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, hailing the people of Delta North for organizing a mega rally in Kwale where they unanimously endorsed the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as their sole candidate for the 2019 general election.

The statement titled, Delta North Gives Okowa Overwhelming Support And Endorsement For 2019, With Mega Rally In Kwale, as obtained by Asaba Metro, reads below.

“The Delta State PDP is profoundly grateful to the entire Delta North Senatorial Zone and our wonderful brothers and sisters of Anioma nation for the massively successful mega rally in Kwale, today Tuesday, October 23, 2018, and the overwhelming support and endorsement of His Excellency Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term come 2019.

“We are particularly excited that this mega rally by the people of Delta North, which has now formally endorsed Governor Okowa as our sole candidate for the 2019 governorship election, is not only coming in the wake of the affirmation of Senator Okowa in the governorship primary of our party, but is indeed a clear testimony in recognition and appreciation of the good governance and giant developmental achievements in virtually all the sectors, which have been the hallmarks of Governor Okowa’s administration, since he assumed office on May 29, 2015.

“We have no doubts whatsoever that Governor Okowa deserves his endorsement for a second term to consolidate on the good works he has been doing through the SMART Agenda in job creation for the youths through the YAGEP and STEP entrepreneurship schemes and other sectors, across the length and breadth of Delta State. With the groundbreaking mega rally, the people of Delta North have demonstrated that Governor Okowa is their beloved son in whom they are well pleased.

“The Delta PDP also heartily welcomes into our family, the avalanche of decampees who crossed over from other political platforms into the warm and comforting embrace of the PDP, having realized that there is no hope or redemption in the sinking ship of APC in particular, which is gradually tearing itself to fragments not just in Delta State but all over the country, just like the clueless and inept administration of its leadership at the Federal and all other levels.

“We also wish to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to all our distinguished and beloved leaders, elder statesmen and women, particularly our indefatigable elders, Senator Patrick Osakwe, Chief Godswill Obielum, Admiral Mike Onah, Omordi George Ugbomah and Rt. Hon. Mercy Almona-Isei. Your support and solid, unshakable identity with the PDP and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa over the years, have not only consolidated our achievements and cemented our status as the number one party in Delta North, but has given us the unparalleled assurance that the second term victory of your son Governor Okowa is already a concluded matter.
